Daniel Steven Peña Sr. (born August 10, 1945), also known as Dan Peña, is an American philanthropist, businessman and high-performance business coach, born in Jacksonville, Florida. Today, he resides at Guthrie Castle in Scotland. Peña is prominent for his eight-day Castle Seminar on his "Quantum Leap Advantage" (QLA) methodology, and claims to have produced $50 billion in equity and value. He is the author of several books, including Your First Hundred Million. He is also an accomplished public speaker and a recipient of many awards and recognitions. Most notably, Peña was appointed by her majesty the Queen, Elizabeth II as member of the "Order of Saint John".

Career
After service in the US Army, which he left as an officer in 1969, he received a BS degree in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) in 1971.
Upon leaving college, he worked in real estate and then joined Paine, Webber, Jackson & Curtis and subsequently Bear Stearns. After that, he was president and CEO of Kennedy Industries Inc. and he became chairman of JPK Industries, Inc.
In 1982, he founded Great Western Resources Inc. (GWRI) with $820, a Houston-based natural resource company. When he left the company in 1992, the company had a public market capitalization of over 450 million US dollars. Peña owned around 10 percent shares of GWRI when he left in 1992 and subsequently had 4.5% in 1994. He was ousted by the company's board of directors, which he later sued and won $3.3 million in actual damages for refusing to pay his employment contract.
Peña is founder and chairman of The Guthrie Group, an investment consortium, incorporated on the Channel Islands in 2002 and named after Guthrie Castle in Scotland. He has business interests in the Philippines, where he is founder and former chairman of iZone Technologies. He also opened a technology hub, which is a free facility were start-ups and developers can use the space to develop their ideas and pitch for potential funding and investment from Peña himself. On the grand opening, former vice mayor "Isko" Moreno and Agham Party-list and former congressman Angelo Palmones were present and provided their respective speeches. Peña also spearheaded "Hackathon" events for the youth in the hopes of finding the next technology sensation. He was also featured at GNN (Global News Network) hosted by Ka Iking and Susan Barlin's channel the Philippine National TV.
In 2009, an alleged fraud was charged against one of his companies in India, but the case was dropped, and his company was cleared of all charges. Cyber crime police asked the court to treat it as mistake of facts.

From October 2012 to January 2015, Peña ran a series of podcasts on Podbean and iTunes, "The Quantum Leap Advantage", which featured his QLA Seminars and other free content and "Ask the 50 Billion Dollar Man" were he answered questions from his followers and devotees. With inspiration coming from Grant Cardone where he was interviewed on his podcast, Peña started his own version entitled "Reflections and Confessions of the 50 Billion Dollar Man" where he rode his Rolls-Royce or Bentley while filming each episode.
This is followed by Peña's YouTube series entitled : "Dan's Response to Bullshit". The show highlights the best clips of Dan on different shows, podcast and his QLA seminar.
In April 2014, Brian Rose, the host of London Real TV, invited Peña to his show and they talked about "Your First Hundred Million". Rose attended the QLA seminar October 2014 and conducted a second interview at Peña's estate. They collaborated together for the first London Real event which is entitled "Blitz at the Ritz", with Peña being the primary speaker of the exclusive event.
Dave Asprey which is a known "biohacker" and creator of Bullet Proof Coffee featured Peña on his personal Podcast. They talked about success, performance and being high in life.
In 2015, Peña publicly endorse Donald Trump for President on his London Real interview. He mentioned that if Donald Trump becomes president: "He will rock the world!". Then on May 2, 2016, the Opportunity Charter School in Harlem, New York, rescinded its offer for Peña to speak in the school due to his endorsement of Trump. Peña later said that he had spoken at Oxford University after the incident with no issues.
On September 11, 2016, the Sunday Business Post published an article entitled: "Coughlan joins Trump backer Pena's nursing home group" wherein it highlighted a recent video recorded by London Real Academy last March. The video, which Dan Pena advised viewers about success habits, highlighted his support and backing for Donald Trump wherein he predicted that if Donald Trump is elected president - he is going to "rock the planet."
Inc.com featured an article about him calling him "Mr. Accountability on Taking Action" written by Bill Carmody. Another article was featured by Netshark explaining why Peña thinks you are weak and unaccomplished.
He was interviewed by famous comedians Christina Pazsitzky and Tom Segura for their podcast show "Your Mom's House Podcast". The following year, March 10, 2017, after much public clamoring due to a video challenge, Peña appeared at The Joe Rogan Experience hosted by Joe Rogan. He was on Spartan Up! podcast being interviewed by Joe De Sena.
From June 19 to 20, 2017, he conducted back-to-back talks at Chester University and Launch 22 in Liverpool as part of his speaking engagements and the topic was "Wealth, Risk, Reward Not". He was also invited by Black Ties Association at University of Toronto to conduct a talk last September 29, 2017.
He was also featured on London Real's third feature length documentary film entitled "Dan Pena - The 50 Billion Dollar Man". The film talks about Peña in the perspective of London Real host and mentee Brian Rose.
Peña bought Guthrie Castle in 1984 and made it available for public bookings after nearly twenty years of work. The grounds contain a golf course which Peña wanted to be very difficult to play. As of 2017, Guthrie Castle is no longer available for public bookings and will remain as a private estate for Peña and his family.
In April 2017, news broke out regarding an alleged fraud scheme being done by one of the hired staff of Guthrie Castle for weddings and events. Peña shouldered the cost of the weddings and events jeopardize by this unfortunate event. Then in August 2017, he was featured in STV News as the American multi-millionaire business man who saved dozens of couples using his own money to shoulder the cost of the events and weddings. He stated that he had already forgiven the former employee and that he hoped this changed his life for the better. The following month, BBC News also conducted an interview with Peña upon receiving the results of the case filed again his former employee. Peña used his own money to refund couples that were not able to proceed with having their weddings or events hosted by Guthrie Castle. Currently Guthrie Castle is not accepting any more public bookings following the fraud.

Books
In 1997, Peña self-published the autobiographical book Build Your Own Guthrie through his company Great Wisdom Publishing, a former subsidiary of International Media Holdings, Inc. (IMH, formerly Success Development International, SDI), where he was a majority shareholder. In 1999, the British mail-order entrepreneur Stuart Goldsmith, through his company Medina Ltd, published a revised edition of that book under the title Your First 100 Million, which they offered for £277. The second edition was released in July 2009 selling at $197.00 USD. He published a special free edition in the Romanian language on his website. In November 2016, Peña released a free Russian version of the book.
In 2004 he published Why Litigation Is Nothing More Than A Business Tool - 26 Unbreakable Rules of Litigation.
In April 2014, he published Dan Pena's $50 Billion QLA eBook, a free eBook, wherein he shows how he, through his associates created $50 billion in equity and value, since 1993.
